0df only makes a difference for high res and rapid modulations. For many/most typical synth sounds the difference is minor to non-existent. You won't hear a give away 'plastic' sound universally applied to the output of all non-0df filters.

Remember the real OB-X vs OP-X comparison that Peter999 put up? Most people couldn't reliably tell one from another. One person reckoned that the difference was obvious, but refused to have a guess.

Funny that I could tell 9 out of 10 times. Just look at the scores.

Diva's filters sound quite different to me in 0df and non 0df modes...

Different set of comparisons - look at the link in my post.

The A/Bs you're referring to were compromised by a clearly audible noise floor in the real OB-X examples - you should really have got 10/10 on those.

With the first set of A/Bs posted by Peter you bragged that you could easily tell the difference but, though you were given every opportunity to do so, absolutely refused to say which was which. Was highly amusing.

The fact that we're still talking about Synth 1 well over a decade after it was released and the fact it has over 10,000 patches available speaks volumes about the quality of it's sound...........

I'd love a 64 bit version but we haven't heard from Ichiro for quite some time....there's always hope I suppose.....

As for me ,Op-x filter in real life sounds like ordinary digital 12dbo filter from 90s :D

Then why so many people guessed wrong? Man, you just can't accept the truth. If you can't tell the difference it doesn't mean that nobody can.

Because some people can hear a difference some of the time, doesn't mean that the differences are always, or even most of the time, obvious - they aren't.

(btw, I guessed 100% correct for both sets of OB/OP comparisons. ;) )

Mr.Toda quit job at last year and now searching job, so he is busy.
We should wait patiently :)

I would pay cash dollar moneys for a 64 bit Synth1 on Mac.
