Getting heated is one thing, but blatantly disrespectful personal insults are another matter and should never be tolerated, especially in a respected public forum like this. It's not some kind of censorship conspiracy. It's about maintaining a basic level of civility. The ban is only temporary anyway and all of his criticisms are still present in the thread.

I'm a longtime Cubase user (since VST32). I think if we have to pay more, Steinberg must start updating their software more often! Seriously. We waited too long (several months !!) for fixes introduced in 7.0.4 and fixed in 7.0.6. There are still known bugs and no schedule for next update. THAT makes users frustrated. I still like Cubase 7, but I liked 6.5 better. Im sorry to say this but StudioOne v3 might make me leave Cubase. I did beta testing for v2. Steinberg needs some fresh hungry programmers and leaders that understand that frequent update fixes are extremely important for todays users.

I believe that it was Cubase SX crack that the "product specialist" accused Compyfox of using way back in the never-never. It was an absolute lie and a vile, creepy little thing for him to do.

I wish I could sell this copy of Cubase 7 - however I do not have that option and am stuck with it.

I'm American, and as far as I know Americans in America can't resell software.

What class of American are you? East-West? Sample Logic? Other?

Tip of the day;

Switch to a DAW with decent customer service and from a trustworthy brand, like Reaper or Studio One.

Buy Cubase 7 elements to open older Cubase projects.
Only upgrade that in every few years (Or buy new full elements (99 euro) when needed).
:wink:

btw I was a longtime Cubase user, since Cubase vst24. I got really fed up by their behaviour towards clients.

That advice would be great but Reaper and Studio One are seriously deficient in features and workflow compared to Cubase. Or Logic/Digital Performer/Sonar/Pro Tools/Samplitude...
and what is this Cubase customer service problem? Never had any customer service issues with Steinberg...I call/email - they answer.

I wonder too. They have a great support actually.

Read this thread about how Steinberg treats customers, for me a big part of stopping to buy it.
My tip was an addition to this thread.
