Satin takes forever to load

Needless to say, I'm hugely enjoying Satin. It gets plastered all over my mixes currently, and I'm still discovering the nuances it can impart to all kinds of instruments.
BUT: whenever I load it up, it can take up to 15-20 seconds! Is anyone else experiencing this? Even when I copy and paste it, it takes at least 5 seconds. I'm using Live 9 and Reaper, and it's the same in both hosts. No other plugin I have takes that long - even Kontakt 5 is quicker.
Any suggestions? Sympathy? Cat pics?
(I'm going to regret that last one...)

There's a bunch of possible reasons for this, and Satin 1.1.1 might fix most of these. We'll know more next week.

Hi
Though not as long as 15+ seconds, I am experiencing several seconds delay on the GUI opening and it's not something I experience with other plugins.
Cheers

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

Ah, so I'm not the only one. I'm sure my system is pretty fat and old by now, so this might be a part of the reason. Might have to do a fresh reinstall, although I'd rather opt for a root canal.
Thanks for replying, Urs, I'll wait for the update.

I have a lousy dual-core i5 Mac Mini at home, ATI "mobile" graphics, here it takes about 3 seconds to load...
Have SATA3 SSDs in it though, so should the opening time really be related to loading the images from disk, then that could in fact make a difference, I guess.

It takes ages on this core 2 laptop... more than any other plug-in.

It certainly takes longer than most, but I am talking a couple of seconds here, I find myself trying to open again as I think I have misclicked.

I also encounter it on my home PC, not at work (an SSD). We already made the graphics smaller, but Urs recently said he found that the resource script contains unneccessary entries that all have to be parsed on instantiation. We're on it.

It could be the PNG parser on the PC version...
I have a pretty good idea though. There would be a dramatic speed bump if graphics were loaded only when needed, and/or loaded subsequently by a timer.
