I play with any knobs for about 5 min in MCompressor (VST3) and the plug-in always crash, no more processing and sound.

I have FL Studio 11.0.3 (32 bit)

Thanks

Hi,

are you using 32-bit version of the plugins? How about VST2?

Yes I am using the 32 bit version in FL Studio (32 bit).

I will try the VST2 tonight ...

I will let you know the result.

Playing with the Release this time (VST3).

well, as the screenshot says, FruityWrapper crashed! This measn, either you are using 64-bit version or you enabled wrapping the plugin intentionally. Please do NEVER do that! These wrappers are extremely dangerous. I don't remember a single one being stable...

There is no wrapping and I use the 32 bit version.

Well, I suggest contacting Imageline about it. But from what I know you can make FL use a wrapper even if there is no need for it. The reason is that FL is still just 32-bit, so if you need some samplers, which require lots of memory, you can get to the limit and you are in trouble. But such a solution seems a little riddiculous... Anyway try to find some option like that, something like "wrap plugins"...

Why use the VST3 version anyway?

I face no crash using the VST2 version and FLS 11.0.2.

Just to clear this up, the Fruity Wrapper plugin in FL is in effect the VST plugin host. It's used automatically when a VST plugin is loaded.

The Wrapper has a bridge that's used automatically for 64bit plugins (in the 32bit version of FL) and optional for 32bit plugins.

That's weird, why the task manager reported crash in the DLL then? I believe Windows always report crash in the module where it happened, not the DLL where the exception occured. I'm not completely sure though... I'll check though.

The crash is indeed in the Fruity Wrapper plugin, but that's normal because it's the host for the plugin (like FL is the host for the Wrapper plugin).

If the plugin was bridged, the crash would happen in ILBridge.exe.

Hmm, I'll still rather check it, but thanks for the info!

Anyway Elasi you say VST2 is fine, right?

I've found the crash location, for what it's worth. I'm checking the best way to fix it.
