I did NOT saying "playing in C major and the bass uses the same except that the bass moves from D to D".

I said:
It could be that the piano and guitar are playing in C major and the bass uses the same tones (the "white keys") except that the bass moves from D to D
This is completely different because "the white keys" is NOT C major.

I explain that the perception of tonal center is subjective, then you tell me no, it's subjective. WTF?

Okay! Did you listen to the example I linked to? The free streaming only presents the first part but the tune continues in the same vein throughout.
