I checked the thread on the same problem, except with the APC40.
Once Thesys is loaded on a MIDI track, I right click on a step lane to automate it to a knob, turn a knob, and it does not map. I then tried what was suggested on that thread, arming the midi track before doing the midi learn. Still nothing happens.

Any clue why or how to solve this?
