The feedback osc and the bite filters are quite an awesome combination for all kinds of drones by the way:

I find it's real easy to overload the output without noticing. For your consideration: a two or three color LED (yellow-signal, green-optimal, red-peaking) showing output level in the Amplifier and Pan section would make it easy to see Diva's overall output level without having to leave Diva's GUI (especially useful for large to cinematic sizes). Even simpler: just a red peak indicator would help.

Good call. We'll add it to our ever growing list of feature requests.

Unfortunately this is related to the behaviour of the new filter. It's set to similar gain as the other filters at fully open cutoff and no resonance. But unlike all other filters it is not gain compensated for resonance at all. Thus it gets really loud with added resonance. That's simply what the filters in teh SEM/OB-X are like!

Urs, is the default setting of the gain knob higher on the newer version or is that unchanged?

Finally, any update on the flickering GUI? Is this a known issue or am I the only one seeing this? Every few seconds with the VST3 version, the DIVA GUI will flicker white.

Cool drone Dennis! :)

well, trance is back once again... 100% Diva!

Some extra processing was used (like Uhbik-A, DMG EQuick, Klanghelm DC8C 2, Valhalla DSP Ubermod, PSP Springbox and Fabfilter Saturn to name some) but still 100% Diva!

The new Uhbie filter is so useful, lovely character! + the digital osc brings so much timbre variety, thanks again u-he team! :tu:

Just started playing with the Feedback oscillator. That thing is ust crazy...

Sounds a bit like a combination of FM and a Formant (or Comb-) filter. Lots of different timbres possible.
Seems to be great for pad sounds, also in combination with a Supersaw in the second oscillator.

The modulation and/or morphing of the filter mode in the Uhbie filter is crazy too. Not many other synths that offer this.

Here is a pad sound that uses the features i just mentioned:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/532 ... ck%201.h2p

(If i click on the link the patch is loaded as a text file here so maybe you should download with "Save as..." from the right-click menu...)

Oscillator 1 uses the feedback Osc and Osc 2 the Supersaw. The Modhwwel changes the Cutoff and the Filter mode "morphing". The aftertouch adds vibrato.

One thing I love about Diva is how even relatively simple sounds have a bit more OOMPH and wow from it. I just set up a "reese" style bass w/ the Digital OSC ran through Bite rev. 2 with some automated feedback, & I swear my speakers are about to cry as much punishment as I'm dishing out...

I assume the original hardware SEM/OBX output electronics have the headroom to handle this extra gain? Or is that handled by a manual gain control?

I've also noticed that a majority of patches in Diva have the output volume set at 50% or less. Maybe an attenuation switch might be useful as well.

Well, it's up to the inputs of the mixing desk to cope I guess. There's just more dynamic behaviour in Obies than there is in Rolands.

(Maybe this is why Obies aren't self-oscillating... they would have blown speakers all over the world)

Wonder if Diva can now do a close copy of this sound I've always wanted this sound from a synth. I was saving up for a Radias but got Zebra as my first synth instead due to advice from the Korg forums.

Which sound, I hear several?

:tu: for the new stuff.

Agree - is there any reason for this?
