Hehe, right after I posted, this message from a sample library company landed in my mailbox:

"One of our most highly rated products at a no-brainer price...

Normally $119.99

70% OFF! Pay only $35.99 if you buy within 24 hours"

:hihi:

Pekadan, good warning, here's what I think:

I'm pretty sure I need a drum software (I haven't been able to use any of the freeware consistently with satisfactory results and drums are my weakest production point). In fact, I probably need two of them. One that is more like BFD/AD/EZ in that they have real drum samples and MIDI grooves and another that is a drum sampler/synth/sequencer like Tremor, Tattoo, or Geist (I know that Tremor/Tattoo cannot load samples).

And I'm willing to spend some more on anything that facilitates beat creation, like the Xoxos stuff, but if I first know for sure I will be able to use them.

I really have no other stuff to buy. I don't care what else is on sale. All the rest of my stuff is freeware/liteware/demos, minus a few things (I've paid for Tracktion 2 and recently upgraded to T4, but it fails to register most of my freeware plugins and I'm on Reaper demo until I can fix that... or I'll buy Reaper).

So, I think I'm very focused on what to get and won't be getting anything else. I'm very happy to have a tight budget and be categorically refusing to use crack software. These two things keep me sane in this really confusing world of music apps.

Here's concrete tip then:

Maybe some SD2 specials coming up too. My all time favorite drum software!

(And usually audiodeluxe.com has really good Toontrack prices).

I'm not gonna be able to afford SD, BFD3, AD, EZ, Geist, Tremor. I'm most likely gonna get the BFD Eco and maybe Audio Damage Tattoo. I like their Metal Month concept except it doesn't serve me at all. But thanks for the info. :)
