I am very new to Thesys, and trying to figure out how to set note length. I do not mean Gate, which is different but rather how to do a sequence of, say, a few eighth notes followed by a few quarter notes. Other similar programs can easily do this - is it really not possible in Thesys?

it's the third row - Gate Time. Right in the middle.

Edit: ah, you meant something else. You may do this with the pattern sequencer, but I'm not familiar with that feature.

There's a cumbersome workaround: if 1/8 notes are the norm, and I want some 1/4 notes, double them in the pitch sequencer, lengthen them in the gate sequencer, and zero out the velocity sequencer for the second instance. MUCH easier in Numerology and Nodal, to name a few…..
