I couldn't use a piece of software that so embarrassed of it's name that they resort to just the initials.
Silly argument and irreverent to most, such as polls it's subjective. In this day and age with regular updating you need a live and dynamic poll to be more accurate.
Software is not static, with each update and upgrade things change overnight so a yearly poll is rather useless(especially if your favored "DAW" loses).

Ah come on! Who really cares? If someone wants to appeal to authority here, there must be better choices than an old shappy self-important hippie with an addiction to commercialized folk-music and a Jesus complex.The_Hidden_Goose wrote:I think Oldfield has moved away from FL these days. I still like his first few albums. But then I'm a self-important hippy :p

They were asked to change it by Fruit Loops IIRC.CTStump wrote:Just to stir the pot a little more...

I thought they changed it to get round that first "free updates for ever!" on Fruity Loops....? Seemed that way to me at the time!

Kelloggs decided to challenge us when we applied for the FruityLoops trademark in the US. We had a very strong case AND we received the trademark in Europe as the two markets are obviously separated. But later they claimed to have released CDs and games in their cereal boxes, and as we didn't want to waste money fighting them in court for 5 years ...

Of all the DAWs that I own, but never use and can't sell, FL Studio is the clearly the best IMO. Its CPU performance when sitting idle on my hard drive is negligible, and the sound that it doesn't make is nothing short of silence. What more could a person ask for in a DAW that he's stuck with?

yeah, i give a f**k for this Mike Oldfield too - but Maor Levi, BT (Brian Transeau) or Tritonal for example are awesome!IncarnateX wrote:Ah come on! Who really cares? Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
