[solved] MMultiband Delay: Moving controls erases delay buffer ( --> Reaper Undo Issue)

I think this is a bug. Sorry, I also mailed support from within the plugin but I'm not sure that will get by my firewall so I'll post here as well.
I'm trying to use MMultiband Delay as a looper, e.g. the default preset with the feedback at around -0.5 dB and Gain at -2.5 dB, delay length set to 1 Bar.
It seems that moving *any* of the controls causes the buffer to clear after the next delay cycle (one bar in this case).
Even stranger, if I put MRythmizer behind the delay and move or use any controls in MRythmizer, that also clears the buffer on the *delay*.
This is also why the 'Freeze' button doesn't seem to work right I think, it freezes an empty loop, somethimes with just a "thunk", like the tail of a 'choked' loop. I can't compare to older versions I'm afraid, this is the first time I'm trying to use MMultiband Delay for this.
This is in Reaper x64 v4.55, Windows 8.1 x64 and Melda Effects at v7.13.
Or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I tried this, but everything seems just fine. From your description however I'd recommend asking Cockos about it. Since the 2 plugins don't talk to each other at all, it seems like Reaper is reseting the plugins everytime you change the settings. Also note that you should disable the undo - select all plugins in the plugin list, right click, and select "Enable minimal undo states". Otherwise Reaper is saving the whole plugin settings everytime you change something. Who knows, maybe there have a bug there, which resets the plugins too.

Thanks, I think you are right. It doesn't happen in my other hosts, I had been going back and forth between reaper and Live all morning and somehow forgot to check this issue on both.
I also thought maybe your plugins 'talked' to reaper in some way that caused this. I'll trouble-shoot Reaper a bit but it does sound like an undo/related reaper bug.
Sorry for the trouble. Ignore my support email if you get one.

Hehe you, email received
.
Ok, please notify Cockos. I'll do the same, but they ignored me last several times I reported the many bugs there are unfortunately. Otherwise great host for the money, but sometimes they just do something weird

Ah, I have hosts, but Live 9 is fussing over some (other) plugin I have and isn't very stable ATM. This is the first real show stopper I've had with Reaper.
I just checked and you were absolutely correct, setting 'minimal undo states' solved it, 'Freeze' works normally now as well. Thanks!

So it was the undo after all! I was always telling them this is not a good idea... But they just said "no"

I have to say though I'm trying to find another plugin that has the same issue but I can't. Whatever it is it seems to be pretty specific in Reaper's interaction with MMultibandDelay et al. Do you have a better idea what it is?

The trouble is that the plugins are "too versatile" - the storage is too big, yet Reaper tries to save its state every time. It takes time and if the computer cannot handle it, a glitch may occur. For some reason in your case Reaper also resets the plugin too.
