I'm getting ready to buy a Qu4ttro and can't decide whether or not to upgrade to the SSD drive. Any opinions would be welcome. I'll be using the Qu4ttro for live stage use only and primarily for keyboard and instrument sounds layers and splits (4 - 6 zones)

Which VSTs will you be using?

With something sample-based, it Will make a huge difference.

Soft synths and sample based. Thanks. I'm used to hardware not virtual instruments. This is new territory for me. Thanks for the tip.

SSD makes a huge difference for any disk I/O related operation and the system will be a lot smoother, so it's advised to get the upgrade if you can afford it.

I would think the main reason for considering an SSD is reliability.
