Detailed info:

Modular Feedback Delay

You can find it in the deep editor module list. It's a typical delay module, but with this delay you can insert any type of module in the feedback path, even a MUX or VST!

Enhanced Automation Parts

Automation parts can now also do MIDI controllers, Aftertouch and Pitch Bend.
Right-click the track header -> Choose Automation Type and select eg Pitch Bend. Now drawing new parts on that track will be pitch bend parts.

Fun tip: Set the pitch bend range of your synth to 1 octave (=1200 cents) and set the envelope editor vertical grid to 12. Now you can draw melodies using the breakpoint envelopes and do all types of glides and/or special pitch effects.

Hope you'll enjoy and feedback.

Cheers 8)

Thank you!! This kind of fun is exactly why getting hold of the curves for MIDI is so nice :).

The new delay module is especially welcome.
Now you can put anything into the delay's feedback path. The sonic possibilities are endless!!

Here is ONE and a SECOND example.
Expect more to come.

Tip: If someone is missing the recently added 24dB LP Filter, it's renamed TF Lowpass Filter.

Just a reminder to folks who upgraded to Mavericks:
1) Right click on Mulab app
2) Click "open" (it's first in the list}
3) Click "yes"

This upgrade of Mulab works well for me.

Teeny-tiny demo of CC curve drawing:

It was so much easier do that hi-hat control with the curve editing!

Wow, the ability to edit pitch bends via automation parts is really a big step forwards in my workflow. :tu: :tu: :tu:

BTW: Any idea how to switch off auto scroll in automation parts? Have already tested general and specific shortcuts ...

You're right, it's not yet supported for envelope parts. Taken note, will do soon.

A new MuLab 5.3.14 test version is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/everest

What's changed since M5.3.11:
  • Support for looped envelope parts.
Looping is done via right-click on points -> "Set Loop Start/End".
This also applies to the Multi-Point Envelope.
  • Improved drawing of envelopes, especially when using 'spiky' curves.
  • Handling envelope curves has become easier: Instead of using those little curve handles, you can now use any point on the line to drag the curve.
Still double-click to edit the details. If you want a new point right upon a curve line (while cursor is pointing finger), you obviously can't use double-click, so hold [Ctrl] in that special case.
  • Modular editor now supports lasso select to move, copy and delete multiple modules at once.
  • Wobble Modulator: New "Curve" and "Alternating Offset" controls resulting in more control over the resulting wobble.
  • "Auto Scroll" control now also available in the audio and envelope part editors.
  • All context functions in the audio editor are also shortcuttable now.
  • Very short clicks on the keyboard in the top-right could result in hanging notes. Fixed.
  • Very short key presses on the virtual keyboard could result in hanging notes. Fixed.
  • Fixed a M4.5 read session file incompatibility.
  • Extended factory lib.

Support for looped envelope parts.
Ahh... I just copied the part when I was doing that tiny demo... :dog: Yes, that's very useful!
Looping is done via right-click on points -> "Set Loop Start/End".
Ah, not on the time line... that's a bit odd... but okay.

That's a big improvement... Much needed for us that draw automation! I've always preferred to do it that way myself but I can see how some people do it with controllers etc.

Nice! :)

Hi, just to post here to report one non-reproducible crash in 5.3.14 -- I had four instances of sforzando loaded and I could hear that one was running short of sample space, so it's likely that the VST crashed and that's what took out Mulab.

Post

Not sure if this is a "new bug" or something I've not noticed. Starting a new session doesn't prompt to save like exiting the application -- all I lost was which track I had muted, fortunately.

Again a great step forward :tu:

What's changed since M5.3.14:
  • Improved VST engine: Resolved a possible incompatibility issue with certain VSTs eg Drumatic.
  • Improved VST engine: When mixing down compositions with multi-core enabled, there could be sonic artifacts eg when using Sforzando. (Should be) Fixed.
It's an app+ID only update, detailed install info cfr http://www.mutools.com/mulab/app-patch/Read%20Me.txt
