Yes, there was claim about distortions in mid range but the guy said, it really depends on what to process. Let's localize the problem!
1. What module is the cause of problem? (you can turn each of them off and check). I suppose, it's peak limiter module.
2. Does the level of distortions changed in latest version 1.0.2 versus previous 1.0.1?
3. If the problematic module is peak limiter, does the level of distortion changed when you change limiter speed (1/3, 1/2, 1/1)?
4. Does the turning oversampling on/off affects the level of mid-range distortion?
BTW, latest Barricade version is really cool. And freeware plugins should have either cheaper sound or restricted abilities than payed plugins, havent' they?
And I use just one instance of Limit6, but I was just considering using it on busses, too. Also, these distortions might sound good? I'm intrigued. 
Not on church songs, classics, and jazz, I suppose. 
It's tricky to evaluate the plugins by ears. VST analyser speaks better and far more accurate. But it's also not good to rely only on "scientific results" because you might miss out on something sounding really cool.
