Hello,
in addition to this feature request I suggest a more generalized concept of locators, time changes and parts in the composer: A more unique handling of user-defined locators, loop locators and even time changes. All those locators would be displayed on the top row, could be selected, dragged and cut&pasted. All operations should work in combination with selected parts.
And (btw) maybe dedicated locators especially for mixdown start/end would come true.

I think that having the start/end location in the mixdown menu is best. Too many locators makes my work environment feel rather crowded. All opinion of courseReincke wrote:And (btw) maybe dedicated locators especially for mixdown start/end would come true.

I often work with a number of mixdowns within a single MuSession/composition -- I'd really like to be able to have a history of them available in the mixdown dialogue so I could pick the one I'm working on (ideally defaulting to nearest the play position). The current method is okay for a single region, as it's remembered (for a while). (In Reaper, it's a quick mouse drag to select a region and then mixdown time range, but it's still something I have to remember to do and change when changing the section I'm mixing down.)

I haven't seen the history feature. Must test it.pljones wrote:I often work with a number of mixdowns within a single MuSession/composition -- I'd really like to be able to have a history of them available in the mixdown dialogue so I could pick the one I'm working on (ideally defaulting to nearest the play position). The suggestion (I earlier made) was to keep all the functionality of today and additionally to extend MuLab to recognize if there are user-defined locators with a name e.g. "Mixdown Start" / "Mixdown End". So all of us would be satisfied.
Anyway, for me the mixdown feature is not as important as the rest of the first post in this topic.
