UPDATE!

Zebra rev 2079 Win
Zebra rev 2079 Mac

Fixes timing bug, but no new UI yet. Distortion algorithm "matured". AAX included this time.

Note: GUI work, ZebraHZ will be last minute. Can't promise ZHZ before x-mas

As we're heading towards Zebra's 10th anniversary, here's a sneak peek and a public beta with Zebra's new Distortion module:

Zebra rev 2036 Win
Zebra rev 2036 Mac

It's also the first version of Zebra with AAX support (ZebraHZ to follow)

Note that the UI for the Distortion is, uhm, *preliminary*, to say the least. I'll work something out before release ;)

Enjoy,

- Urs

Real quick 3 minute run-through: it sounds GREAT! Rectify is really wicked... a lot of tonal variety to be had just by tweaking pre and post tilt... hardclip has a nice fattening effect... not sure, but would a "mix" button be useful?

Anyways, need to spend more time with it later. First impression is really, really good! Thanks so much!

The Unempty Dark Horse theme looks very different. Is this intentional? :(

Nope, I haven't touched it yet. It needs to be updated before release.

I haven't now the time to check this, but thought it was worth mentioning anyway to avoid it being lost in time:

EDIT: seems still there in this beta1...

this new Zebra, what I noticed:

-GUI: more contrast, text is sharper, moves faster (just try to click on the osc tabs or add/remove modules for example) pleasant to look at in general! :tu:

-GREAT sounding dist module! :tu: (has that "natural" punch, need to update my template! :D )

it's polyphonic too! ..monophonic for the FX area also if needed.

Thanks allot u-he team, really happy about this update! :)

Sounds great ! Quickly mapped all the paramterers to Push and started tweaking. So smooooth and warm. Thanks!

Oh my... when did Unempty Dark Horse get those curvy shapes for modules? It totally slipped under the radar if it was like this already in 2.6... not sure if I like it though, somethings are a bit hard to read.
