Weird.
I think someone that cooks rejects ingredients with every recipe. I'm pretty sure I know what the OP is saying with the term and it isn't this broad thing you want to argue.
But as you like: isn't choosing to do it limiting yourself?
Okay, so say the OP is arguing within a limited scope. I don't use cloves when I'm making lasagne. But suddenly, I'd love to make some Christmas cookies, so, hey, where are my cloves? Did I throw them away, because I didn't need them all year? Well, maybe the grocery store is still open.

Well, I had a point there, and it does lie in a definition of rhythm that isn't just me. If you want to say 'I think it's iffy tbh' with no facial cues, typing it at someone maybe you want an emoticon. I'm perfectly capable of reading nuance but in context I guess I missed that.

I like to dance. It does the opposite of move me to dance, I have to move away from it. There was a question asked as per rejecting it, I stand on that side of it, I hate it a lot, and did when Disco more-or-less established it.

Maybe I just hate cloves and would never make Christmas cookies. :D

No matter how long you've been walking down the wrong road, the best move is always to turn around… :)
That is of course until you have the moment of enlightenment and you realise that the road to four on the floor was the right path to choose after all.

Embrace it. Revel in it. Love it.

This, totally.

Even within the context of house and techno, a 4x4 beat can be the jackhammer that drives the whole track, the foundation for a fluid and funky groove, or the distant pulse that keeps the track just barely in touch with physical reality while all the other elements spin off into the fifth dimension...
