Hi all,
Multicore support is on the way. Looks promising as on development machines we have 40-60% speed up. More info (also about other updates) soon.
Best regards,
Przemek / d16 group

It's a great synth, but the Love is not in the tiny small GUI.
I love it, but the GUI makes it not so fun to program for myself.

ATS That's a very naive statement, possibly fair to some but not too all. Simply upgrading to i7, Lush in it's current state v1.01, will still struggle.ATS wrote:pdxindy wrote:I have an i7 quad and Lush kills it...ATS wrote:people on kvr spends thousands on plugs but they don't update their core 2 duo computers. I agree that LUSH uses a ton of cpu, no question, but I see this complaint for many synths. People really need to spend some money updating their computers instead of all on plugs. Or maybe I am totally wrong lol
Something is wrong then because I have a i7 quad and I have tried to max it out before but could not do it.
My kit is i7 2.66, 12gb ram, RME FF800 on SSDs. Still Lush kills it on some patches and implementation in a project with multi vst instruments and plugins grounds the rig to a halt.
Lush 101 is a very complex multi-timbral plugin, not many like it and I am sure in the future it will start to shine as processors (and people upgrading their existing cpus) catch up. However the sound and potential makes me keep it.
The news regarding multi-core is fantastic news and the 50-60% decrease is promising and look forward to what that is delivered on ie; multi' patches with or without the built in effects.
Since multi-core has been introduced in Diva usability has increased, so Lush will certainly be getting played more.
I am disappointed that Diversion won't be going to multi-core due to the complexities however with an update due, I am hoping to see some imporvement.
I think D16 lads do some rgeat work and a lot of their existing plugins still hold their own and their 303 clone is great.

I just got the total bundle. The only thing I haven't found a use for is Redopter. Love the D16 stuff.
Lush101 complements Diva very well.
