It's a matter of taste. Some like BMW, some like Mercedes. Both are good.LawrenceF wrote:It's interesting how different people view the same things.

i was working on fl studio for about 3 years,it is a great platform for making fast loops IMHO...The most weakness for me that was no track grouping
(a Layer
),chaotic placed automation,i was spending too much time on reorganizing arraignment etc,etc,etc...too much downsides for me:)but every DAW has it pros and cons, maybe someday i will go back,or not:)cheers image-line

You choose if automation is on-top of the parent/target track. Under it in another track. Under it in a grouped track (that can be minimized)...or flying all over the place as you like.K@rol wrote:what about automation lanes?are they placed directly in a track like in Ableton(open, hide) or flying all over the arraignment:):)???
FL Studio doesn't dictate your workflow. You do need at least the discipline to make a decision how you want to work and stick to it.

Ya, fraid so, here's hoping they implement it in version 12, doubt it though. Thanks for the positive feedback on the video

has to be impossible to implement with the current scheme otherwise they would have added it by now? a GREAT first step would be to have the Question acknowledged.. is it even possible to implement without messing other things up? if not.. then I would never ask again.
just a option like this.. where you can input time sig changes on the Timeline of the playlist or something.

it's one of the only things I have been waiting for. for years now.

Now that I try it:T-CM11 wrote:-- Patcher not working for you?foosnark wrote: -- A "master piano roll" or "instrument combinator" or something like that. There should be some slick, hassle-free way to set this up.
No, it's not. I think I didn't explain what I want here.
Let's say I have Fruit Kick, Sampler for a snare, and Battery for some other percussion. I want to map C3 to C3 on Fruit Kick, D3 to C3 on Ssampler, and everything else to Battery -- on a single channel.
Patcher can't host legacy Fruity plugins (like Kick or Sampler). Even if it could, it doesn't provide any way to transpose, filter, etc. like the normal wrapper can.
I can actually pull off what I want to do with Layer, in a limited and awkward fashion, thanks to the zone/root features in the wrapper. You can't have multiple zones per plugin or "make a hole". Usually it's not worth the trouble.

All the keyboard stuff is missing in Patcher.tooneba wrote:You could do by r-click & l-click on the keyboard title bar as long as you loaded into patcher. I don't know how latast version of patcher works though.D3 to C3
Anyway, my Maschine should be arriving this afternoon so I'm not worried about this particular issue anymore.
