I'm playing with the Diva demo and am a little confused about midi controllers. I don't mean controllers like the novation etc with all the knobs. I mean performance controllers like footpedals and so on.

First couple of questions:

How do I assign, say, a continuous foot pedal to control filter cutoff in one patch, but oscillator detune (and not filter cutoff) in a different patch?

How do I fine-tune the "range" of parameter's reaction to the controller? It seems that when I initially set up a mapping, if I sweep the controller through only part of its range it creates a mapping where the full range of the controller then only operates the selected parameter through that partial range. But now I decide, oops, I'd like to have it sweep out just a little more... or a little less. Is there a way to just tweak that a bit without having to go back and re-learn (and possibly get it wrong again)?

How do I view which parameters are controlled by a midi controller?

Thanks...

Use the modulation slots (*not* MIDI-Learn) for mod wheel, pitchbend, pressure, foot pedal.

I'm not seeing any footswitch or footpedal options in any of the select lists that pull down from the various "modulation amount" knobs (or in the select lists in the "Modulation" panel), if that's what you mean. Am I missing something? And beyond a dedicated "footpedal" modulation source, it would be nice if we could have a couple/few slots that we could use for any midi controller number as sometimes you're stuck with an odd controller number (I've used "portamento time" as a continuous controller for filter cutoff before).

I'm used to using a Matrix-12, EMU E6400, and in software Massive and Z3ta, so I know I could just be missing a paradigm shift somewhere.

Just wanted to give this a bump as I'm not clear on how or if I can do this. Ideally I'd like to use one or two continuous expression pedals and one or two footswitch pedals to control various aspects of Diva patches, differing from patch to patch. Am I limited to the drop-down select list that's available for many of the parameters (like filter cutoff, etc)? If so, at least in the demo I don't see any footpedal or footswitch controllers available (nor general "midi controller N"). I could theoretically map them externally with midi mapping boxes or perhaps in a vst host, but that means stealing ones that are currently in the list. It just feels a little clunky to map a pedal to, e.g., "breath control" and then build patches around that. Am I missing anything, or is that the current way?

Thanks!

The highlighted modulation source is "Expression". That's the type of MIDI data that expression pedals usually send.

As HiEnergy said "Expression" is the foot pedal...

And yeah, if you want to use two foot pedals, you would remap one of them to breath or pressure or modwheel

I use a foot pedal and if I were going to use 2 of them, I would use instrument racks (in Live) and map to the rack macros... that way each Diva preset can be set up with different parameters to a Macro control.
