I'm downloading the updated Mach Five 3.2 and the updated banks now. I got my iLok key and am just waiting to get the iLok dongle and the manual.

I'll be up and running by wednesday.

Bring on the rain. I need an excuse to stay indoors.
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Well it's so breezy cold, and my Mach Five hasn't arrived yet, and I want to begin working with Scattered Entity Vol. 1 to keep the chilly shivers away!!

Mach Five is in the mail. Kind of silly that it is because now they have made downloadable versions of their banks so the totally sample size is around 20 GB, so the only thing I needed sent was the dongle, and the manual..

Down with packaged software, up with increased bandwidth internet.. Save alot of fuel. Paper and such.

Anyways Scattered Entity looks Awesome so really looking forward to using it with my new Mach Five...

Well, once it arrives the pre-enthusiasm will transform into real time-creativity and I'm really looking forward to hear what you will do with these sounds.

Pre enthusiasum is a funny thought. Real creativty is more serious altogether. Winter is looking like it's beginning cold and dry here, that leaves me plenty of time for creative work..

Luck is on my side then.

Only problem is I feel I now need an SSD thunderbolt drive.. I'm looking to get the cheapest solution right now, which is the Lacie Rugged 120 GB SSD drive with thunderbolt and usb 3 :?: good idea?

If your compiuter has USB 3, that should be suffice, much cheaper than a SSD and totally fast enough and more space for the money too. I bought a SSD thunderbolt drive last year for an obscene amount of money, elgato 240 GB, it's great and fast, but if my new music laptop which I also bough last year would have had USB 3, then I would have gotten a USB 3 instead.

I will have to buy a new Mac Pro this Decembre when the new Mac Pro comes out, then it will probably SSDs mixed with USB 3-drives here, but I have to earn the money first.

Well the 2011 iMac I have just missed the update to USB 3, so to get the fastest trhough put I'll have to use thunderbolt. I found a Demo thunderbolt rugged lacie with 120 Gb for about 120 euro, so I might just get that.. It's affordable enough, and all the sample content for the forseeable future will easily fit on it..

Halion is 15Gb , synphony orchestra for Halion is about 8gB, Mac Five is now using smaller files so it comes to about 20 Gb, and I imagine your content for the next year or two would never exceed the 60 Gb capacity left over after I've installed stock libraries..

I'm not planning on getting any huge symphonic orchestra things, as I'm not interested in making big symphonies on a compurter.. I rather just go and listen to the real thing at the Opera House or the many concert halls just 10 minutes walking or bike riding from where I live...

60 gigs in 2 years? Sounds like a plan, I'll try my best :)

Whoaa just a projection.

But Scattered Entity Vol. 1 is already on my harddisk. Mach Five is installed, and the iLok key manual and extreme FX, plus the now redundant old sound and program disks, are at the local postoffice waiting to be pick up.

I love going down to my local post office and today I went to check if the goods had come already.

Waiting for my turn I could not resist performing a little buffonery, so I licked my que number slip and stuck it on my forhead. The other people waiting for their turns glanced nervously in my direction and couldn't get the joke at all, but as luck would have it my number got called up to the teller where my favorite postal lady was working, she knows about my crazy sense of humour and shot me a cooky and a quiet laughing smile in when I came up to the counter. I removed the que ticket from my forehead and threw it in the miniature garbage can. She went to go look for my Mach Five 3, a no go, not here yet, come back tomorrow... I'll look forward to the little walk, and having some more silly flirts with the postal lady tomorrow, then returning home with my new little beastie the Mach Five sampler, probably have to put it on ice for the rest of the day after a quick try out.

Scattered Entity sounds will be the first sounds I'll be trying out on the Mach Five 3 beasty slampler :D
