Hi Guys

Bought Synthmaster a while back, but I shelved it and forgot about why. I've come back to it, tonight and it's doing the same thing that precipitated me to discontinue using it - which is - somehow a setting in a preset gets set (honestly I do not know what has been broken) and the synth starts putting out awfully out of tune sound.

All I can say is that once it happens, that I cannot go back to that preset. It remains broken.

I have had two instances next to each other, both on same preset, the broken one (out of tune, almost sounds bit depreciated too) has what appears to be the exact same parameters.

This is 2.6.4 64 bit running in live 9

I'm aware there is a newer version - but has anybody else had this problem? It feels like the thing a developer would put into something to surprise pirates but I am not a pirate and as such, don't quite enjoy my sea shanties to be out of tune and sounding terrible :D

I should point out, all I am doing is running prests straight from the browser. So it's pretty easy to have two instances and check if they are the same. I couldn't see anything different, yet one synthmaster instance (the original) is sounding like it has ran out of batteries.

I think the problem occurred when I ran a new instance of synthmaster (possibly duplication of the track in ableton)

I have tried that with the latest version and can't get it to break doing that, but I'm loathe to start pledging my allegiance until I'm sure it won't turn on me.

Heh, sorry to update this thread again, but I wrote that last post - went back to ableton and the original synthmaster is again out of batteries.

So this is the latest version and it is still strangely going out of tune.

Edit: I think it happens when midi control is enabled and I know my novation ks4 that I am using is prone to giving off odd midi data so I suspect it's actually poisoning the synthmaster, itself.

That's odd. Each preset has its own "master tune", that can be used to tune the preset.

I've had a similar experience in the past (also Synthmaster / Ableton). Melodies going totally insane ...
Only thing that helped was creating a new project, transfer midi parts, load up plugins & presets !

I thought I had done something stupid, but apparently there might be more to it.
Will try to re-create the problem and find out what's triggering this ...
