I used it on 32bit Win7 in Reaper for an hour or 2 and its all good, new filter is great!

I assume the new digital OSC HQ mode is OFF when it is RED? There was massive aliasing on one patch with it red which sounded totally clean when i switched it to not red! It seems backwards, or maybe not, no mention in the manual?

-A bit too much contrast between selected wave vs the other wave shades.
+1

Digital OSC: It's not clear what the bottom/left knob will modulate. (Maybe you can place "TUNE MOD" to the right of the knob?)

The original JP-8000 aliased like a bitch. HQ mode is cleaning all that aliasing, which wasn't possible on the original. So, HQ mode off = original, HQ mode on = Diva enhanced.

thanks, but my question was is RED LIGHT ON = HQ MODE ON meant to be the right way around?

it seems to be the opposite way around, ie RED LIGHT ON = HQ MODE OFF, unless i uncovered some strange glitch in HQ mode? a patch sounded much much better with the red light off, all the unwanted artifacts went away.

Not yet, but I bet there'll be *many* shortly :)
Urs, check email! ;)

Urs,

Not sure if this has been reported, or if anyone else has experienced it, but I'm getting an odd GUI redraw problem. I have one track running the VST version of DIVA; the GUI is set at "large." If I close the Diva GUI/plug-in window and then reopen it, the plug-in window/GUI reopens in "normal" size but the GUI within the window retains the "large" setting -- basically you can see the VCO section, the HPF section, and parts of the VCF and bottom panel. Resizing the GUI to "normal" then back to "large" makes everything AOK.

Hopefully the above is understandable.

Here, Red Light On = HQ Mode On.

Makes sense to me.

Yep, that's a known issue. We tried times and times again to make it work for every host every time, but as of now it's only possible by a set of workarounds.

So instead of fixing this with yet another workaround (that might break it in yet another host software) we have decided to rewrite the UI scaling code and fix it for good there and then. Unfortunately we had other pressing issues this year (AAX, VST3 purgatory) so we'll try to do it next year :)

I have had a couple of weird gui issues, like the fx panel turning blue. At first I thought it was a feature. :D pc win7

Hehehe, do you have a screenshot?

So, does the HQ mode button on the new oscillator section being lit up red actually mean the mode is on or off?! has anyone confirmed the answer by ear?

Red light on = HQ* mode

* HQ being a poor term here cause there is no agreed on definition in this case. HQ means less aliasing, but also less accuracy to the original it is modeled after.

Red light on = HQ mode
OK, if that is true i heard all sorts of artifacts on one of the new oscillators (can't remember which shape) that went away as soon as it was turned off, so that would be a bug report then.

The artifacts sounded a bit like aliasing, but they may not be. It was nothing to do with CPU, the oscillator just went all lo-fi, exactly what i thought the HQ mode was meant to get rid of... hence i thought the light might be backwards.

Win 7, VST2 in latest Reaper 4.57 On Old Core 2 laptop in Great mode.

Ok, added to our bugtracker!

cool. it was definitely NOT multisaw, triwrap or noise, so one of the bottom 4.
