I did. I await his response.
chuck death wrote:In future though, you should really backup things like this. Some companies send you one email and if you lose your details they consider it your fault and you have to re-purchase. I'm sure that won't be the case with xoxos though. ;)
I'm sorry, but I have many many (MANY) plugs that I have bought... you can always simply login and retrieve your plug. but when a DL is personal, it's a little tougher. BTW, I DID ask Rurik about this not so long ago. he say that a mail is being sent to registered users and I trusted his word (I still do, BTW).
this is the first time EVER I have such a problem (and I buy software, like, close to 10 years now).

I sure it will be sorted out quickly....

So do I. However, the number of plugins we've bought is irrelevant. Owning a lot of plugins does not mean you aware of every companies practices.

You certainly cannot "always simply login and retrieve your plug" with every company. I have dealt with a few smaller developers who send you a direct link to a plugin; SKnote for example works like this. I'm not saying this is good or bad, simply that it's not unique to xoxos.

I'm not really sure why are you so mistrustful of what I've said. I have absolutely no reason to lie to you, in fact all I have done is try to help you! I told you where to get the upgrade, I gave you advice on retrieving your emails and suggested you contact xoxos if you had any problems doing so. Quite why you then think I'd just start making things up I don't know.

Anyway, time to get back to discussing the wonderful Bong I think...

 testing a plugin in so many hosts is just weird. thank-you weird, but still with an aura of the macabre and unearthly.

ty, kvr seems to lack a "drunk guy weaving in your face with the top half of a beer bottle" emoticon.

had two people tell me they didn't receive the update email, glad to see that some people did!

still trying to figure out what i have to do to post a news article and have it appear in the news section nowadays.. so far my news has been relegated to a "special instruments news link" here - http://www.kvraudio.com/?t%5b%5d=instruments i wouldn't have found it without bertkoor's direction, never knew it existed. it seems to be some consolatory news page for news articles we don't want anyone hearing about. come plain, come plain, never good enough for me eh.

yeah,true,just noticed that.
i got 'top stories' selected to show, thinking that would be 'all' the latest posts, but, not the case,as bong only appears on the 'instruments' news.
@ben is that a bit strange?

As chuck mentioned in his earlier post: this one is deeper than someone might expect at first. And I really like how the claps sounds now. Especially on fully right. Though the clap section offers not as much control as some of the other instruments the parameters from it can really do a lot to the sound.

And what I really like is how everything works together. If I am done with my basic beat pattern and adding some other melodic stuff I often come back to bong to do some minor changes. It's like eqing something. Eg if the kick sounds good witout your bassline but as soon as your bassline comes in it lacks definition I can correct that within seconds: either raise the initial attack sound via rate/amt setting or change the overall timbre via tone control or shorten the kick a little via decay parameter or adding some (more) noise to it via the noise section. After a while I really knew how something "would sound" if I would adjust a certain parameter of it.

After thinking about it for a while now I think the term DRUM MACHINE does not even comes close to what BONG offers. I would suggest DRUM AND PERCUSSION SYNTHESIZER instead. Because it really behaves and feels more like a synth to me than a machine.

i feel justified in bumping this topic :p link sent.

well, given the amount of attention this vst is receiving, you will no doubt find it unsurprising to know that this four month labour of devotion has yielded twenty-five sales. friends, you are holding a rarity.

when i navigate away from your front page,i find it difficult to get back to find bong page again.
as it doesn't seem to be on the vst or shop pages, and no link back.
also the gui pic on front page is not showing, unless you click to open in another window.
fyi.

just notice too, that all your links open a new tab in browser, meant?

When you posted the news did you select top stories?
I think you have to select it otherwise it will not show up there.
