liam1895…
What I've come up with so far…
4 Dist units…
2 for the "lanes" (part of the synth sound. True Polyphonic distortion!)
2 for the FX lanes (just like Slyenth1's single distortion unit).
The controls are input gain and output, three distortion shaping tools that deal with the shape of the wave and are (perhaps someone could provide more info… use with caution), a switch that adds tone shaping that roughly imitates a 4X12 cabinet and two more tone controls.
So it takes Slyenth1 and beats it's sorry ass distortion with even more options and bone crushing power… naturally.
I kinda like the FX lane distortion… works just like a killer built-in stomp box. Polyphonic distortion is more tame and "synth-like" as the notes and harmonics don't clash and break-up in a cluster… a different flavor altogether. Never had it to work with before!
Try taking old freebie hippy patches (the ones slavishly trying to make old Arp2600 sounds), turn off ill the reverb, and slapping distortion on 'em.
Instant madness.

Woohoo! I've been using some of my ZebraHZ patches and feeding them through Zebrify with distortion to beef the sound up. I love the new distortion module on Zebra, and I can't wait to have it per note in ZebraHZ as well!Urs wrote:Good news: Our brand new addition to the team, Basti, has finished the design for the new distortion modules after two painful days learning the ui editor basics. It's also finished in the Unempty Dark Horse. We yet have to verify it on PC, but I think it's good to go.
With some luck we'll even have a ZebraHZ beta before x-mas then.

Oh… I'm just comparing the lanes, like a acetalyne blow torch versus an ARC welder… but yes, they both can burn holes and do damage.
Pretty destructive damage at that! WHoooo Hooooo!
