My updated INIT patch that I use 98% of the time:

https://app.box.com/s/xfoi7n0amms8iycprbd8

No more VCF4 + mod matrix contraption, using a dist unit instead.

OSC 1 and 2, basic waves you can't live without ;)
OSC 3 polypulse table + basic chip waves. (great for bright, metallic and harmonic righ timbres)

OSC4 a pulse wave table for smoother PWM.

+ every other parameter "logically" initialized.

Feel free to use, hope you'll enjoy! :tu:

In total, I guess I've spent a couple of weeks to a month building and fine-tuning the waves in Geomorph (but if you switch to Spectroblend, you'll also have some useful waves ready to go)

Patch saved with the latest 2.6.1 version, will update for 2.7 one released if needed.

3ee,
Thank you for the free patches! I have not tried them yet, but you've done nice patches in the past, so I anticipate some good ones. I put these into Zebra, but I didn't put them in Zebra HZ; not sure what would happen since I don't think Zebra HZ has the distortion module working yet.

trance_lucent,
Thank you for the patch! I will try it soon.

Kudos to Urs and team for this amazing milestone in the history of softsynths! :)
.. and thanks to 3ee for the presets!

Thanks for the new patches 3ee! These will get a lot of use. Especially like Future Highlands, Chunky, and Digi. Great use of the Distortion Module too. Having a lot of fun with it in 2.7, and your patches show it off nicely. Digging the init patch too!

Here is also stereo version of my JP8k supersaw emulation. It is less similar to JP8k than mono version. This is due to JP8000 has nonlinear detune for supersaw oscillator and to simulate it I used 4 Zebra oscillators - one for central saw and 3 in dual mode for "sideband" saws detuned in law that is very close to JP8K (and Diva). So to emulate true stereo version of supersaw I would need to make a copy of mono supersaw and to pan these copies to left and right channels. But I'd need 8 oscillators in this case, and I have just 4. So I had to use quad mode of oscillators for 4 internal "sideband" saws (so the detune law is linear for these 4 oscillators) and FM oscillators in selfmod mode to emulate the central sawtoohs.
So if you want more precise emulation of stereo supersaw it is better to use 2 instances of Zebra.

Here is patch and example (pure not processed sound but effected with reverb and delay. Original Rank 1 songs used processed sound with EQ and sometimes chorus).

Thanks trance_lucent! added to the 2nd post. ..and thanks everyone for the feedback, glad you enjoy the patches. :)

3ee, checked your patches. Interesting design, I even learned a trick or too. Nice waves in init patch.
Inspirited by your example I decided to assemble a little pack too. Any modulation controls are absent though.

As this is my first soundset ever, it would be great to hear any thoughts and critics about.

JP8k emulation patches are included too.

So, free pack with 16 EDM patches and 2 JP8k patches:

Well, as I found out, EDM patches tend to be more interesting if kept relatively simple, anyway, glad you like the pack! :)

and thanks for your's, downloaded but will check later.
will add to 2nd post...are the JP8K patches the same? ..should I replace or keep all links with a mention?

I think it isn't so related to simplicity. Sometimes simple patch can sound good, sometimes not. And sometimes patch that looks simple in Zebra is more complex than seems (for example my X Lead patch). Indeed there are many "invisible" things in Zebra such as waveforms, especially if morphed or Osc FX that can result in great sounding patch consisting just 1 osc but in other synths it would be much more complex design. What am I saying, there is Zebralette already!

Also EDM patches are relatively rare for Zebra, so it is great when EDM soundsets are released.
But my patches are quite unusual. They aren't "bread and butter". And maybe they are not for EDM purely.

Yes, JP8k patches are the same. You can replace links (although demos are absent. But they are in the thread anyway).

Congratulations u-he! I've only joined the u-he boat very recently, with Zebra and Satin. I cannot imagine making music without these - finest instrument and effect plugins I've ever had the joy of using.

Looking forward to checking out the patches other users posted in this thread, cheers

trance-lucent,
Thank you for the free patches! Does DK Zebra mean Dark Zebra? I put them in my ZebraHZ, not sure if there is any distortion module required on any of these patches. I will try them soon.

trance_lucent, just checked out your patches, found the "moving harmonics" patches fascinating! thanks for the pack!
