Urs, is there a difference between VST3/VST2? Do you still recommend to use the VST2 version?

Definitely. I think Urs will be elaborating on this sometime in the near future. It's planned that we remodel our entire VST3 arsenal, but that'll have to wait until next year. The new Distortion module GUIs are all good, except for the fact that the header is now in totally different font compared to all other modules. Looks kinda off that way 
It still seems that my custom Orange Zebra skin won't load its images... This was working in 2.6. Unempty Dark Horse works for whatever reason, but other skins that I have do not. Same thing in Zebrify and Zebralette.
Suggestion - could you make it so that both Zebrify and Zebralette by default have the same possibility to load custom skins like Zebra has? Currently user has to manually add <plugin>default.txt, rename <plugin>.txt to <plugin>_orig.txt and add <plugin>.txt with ALTERNATIVE and INCLUDE commands...
This makes it harder to install custom skins, because the user has to either do the above or overwrite factory files, which are then reverted to when updating...

Sorry, false alarm. Besides the installer naming, just a small oversight where the Zebra init preset would be named "initialize251" in VST3 and AAX. Nothing too serious
