I just wanted to report a slight problem with Zebra 2.6/7 32bit in Renoise. When I select "HS Gnome Chompski" and change voice mode to "Poly" and then Tune to "-12", then the notes will get 12 notes too high after reloading the project.
Or the way round: The voice is 12 notes too low before reloading, it's like something needs to get updated or whatever.
There seem to be several combinations of these steps that are somehow problematic (in my setup) and maybe you can find one of them and track it down or so.
changig voice mode => one octave off, depends

I'm bumping this thread because I've reproduced it without Renoise. With Reaper and Zebra 2.7. There it's the same:
1. Instantiate a Zebra in Reaper
2. Chose HS Gnome Chompski
3. Change Voice Mode of this preset to Poly
4. Play some note, has certain octave
5. Close, reload project
6. Note is now certain octave + 1
If it's not a bug but depends on something that I need to learn in Zebra, then if you could tell me. But it's not a major problem for me or something, just was irritating.

Hah! That's a tough one, but I can explain it.
The original preset uses the Arp Modulator sources to modulate some parameters important to frequency perception. If you play the original preset for a few notes and switch from "arpeggiator" to "poly", those modulations are frozen because the arpeggiator isn't processed anymore.
If you load the preset without ever processing the arpeggiator, i.e. if you reload a song with it set to poly mode, you'll hear what it sounds like with all ArpMod sliders set to zero position - because the arpeggiator hasn't processed ever before.
This is a flaw that I haven't thought about before

Thanks for the explanation
I think, since this way of creating a modified preset is not really predictable (modulator depends on what's played), and rare (should play lottery), knowing about this effect is sufficient.
