Practically every other plug-in developer is offering massive discounts for the xmas period and I've been waiting for years for u-he to do the same on Diva and Zebra but they never do this!! WHY It is such a missed opportunity they would make an ABSOlUTE FORTUNE!!!!

Please please - even just 25% off would push me to buy.

All the u-he fanboys are gonna chime in soon and say how the prices are already fair enough. I have to agree, however, I would be much more prone to purchase both synths if there was a sale. I feel the prices are just a tad bit steep as I'm not rich and it'd be nice if there was a sale to let us broke folks have a chance to buy! :hihi:

The price you pay for free upgrades.
I don't see any other companies (not mentioning names) that give free upgrades for 10 years straight. Do you?

Not high end plugin companies at least.

Cheers Excellent reply from Urs, sounds fair enough. Guess I'll have to start saving then.

I guess I'm a fanboy but I've received all the Zebra and now Diva upgrades for free, year after year concerning Zebra. Like a gift that keeps on giving.

Spectrasonics is not high-end enough?

U-he plugins have an exceptional longevity because they are very much like real instrument. You discover new ways to use them day after day.

So, their cost spreads over time with long lasting fun and enjoyment in return.

Sorry if all of this sounds too much fanboy...

I've been keeping a list of sales at rekkerd.org for a few years now, and it's getting a bit ridiculous. There seems to be a sale for any occasion these days, I would think twice before ever buying anything full price with those guys.

With Urs you know what you pay won't be cut in half two weeks later, instead you get superb support and many free updates, some of which competitors would easily ask an upgrade fee for.
I really like the way Urs handles his business :tu:

I find it pretty natural that those who already purchased for U-he stuff argue against special offers.

Are you suggesting that $69 for ACE is not a "deal?" I think it's the best deal ever, and it never expires.

If you read up here on kvr, U-He have a clear policy. Don't wait for (or whine for) a "deal" that will never come. If you don't think ACE is worth 2-3 times its cost, as I do, then by all means, you're free to look elsewhere for a better deal / synth. Good luck!

I always feel cheated when a software is half price for a week or so. It somehow tells me that I paid too much, and that the real value is lower than I expected. Such half-price deals appear to me rather cheap. I prefer software products that retain their value, like with hardware.
