I absolutely agree! Not only was the old style so much clearer and easier to navigate, the new style makes the whole site look cheap and unprofessional.Burillo wrote:i hope we get the old style back, this looks way too fugly and out of place.

Like everything else that changes, I might need some time to get adjusted to this.
My initial thoughts and questions.
Too light in comparison to old look.
Don't like the wasted space that is created by shorter posts due to the members side information panel: see following posts. This is going in the same direction as Music-Society.
Is there someway that I can widen it so that I can actually utilize my large screen and see more headings at once (Image-Line forum style) ? Stretch it to have single line headings.
Haven't tried it with XP yet but will not be using it with the internet anyway come April.

Meh, why all the complaints. I mean, isn't it obvious that as it is now, it is an interim solution? At least that's what it surely looks like to me... and as long as it's not announced that this is the final version i would take it as one.

Btw. the complete kvr block is very small with 984px. The main column has only 674px width which is very small.
Maybe for some future updates the complete layout gets a re-design with a more dynamic size. On my browser 2/3 of the complete space is unused and at the center is this small kvr block with the forum and the content panel.

Now it's a bit better than a few minutes ago. The threads have just been highlighted with different colors.

As I said in the temporary version of this topic, the main focus of this upgrade was getting phpbb2 migrated to phpbb3, which was a pain in the arse, but is now done
The current theme is a tweaked version of the standard phpbb theme, which should do the job for a while. It'll be refined and tweaked no doubt (with the whole of KVR being massaged together a bit more of course), but a dark theme will follow (and be user selectable).
For now, I'm more concerned with the timeouts and server load issues we are currently experiencing since the upgrade.
