Hey can you give me some insight...

I really don't like to work with arps. Sometimes it seems that with arp patches every time you play a tune it sounds different (at least in zebra).

I am playing with this patch called Bells MK2 Bali Bells (I am not sure if it is a default patch or came with some soundbank as I have reorganized them), and it is very difficult to work because every time I play a chord it sounds a bit different. Even when I have it in MIDI clips, when I press space bar from Ableton9 for start/stop, sometimes it sounds one way, sometimes it sounds another way.

Any tips for making workflow easier when using arps...? The most logical solution I have found is to duplicate the track, disable arp from second track and then play note by note while listening to the arp (or with step sequencer) so you get it to be exactly as you want.

The only problem is that replicating arp with midi notes somehow just doesn't sound the same. Like there would be different dynamics or something. Any insights...?

I have lots of presets that have modulation variations so that every note sounds a bit different...

Perhaps that is what you are hearing.

About the Arp, it can be controlling velocity, gate (note length) and may have modulations (Arp Mod) so just playing the same notes at the same start time will not necessarily sound the same.
