Cubase's Media Bay lost all my Diva patches once I upgraded to the new 1.3 release

So I use the Media Bay in Cubase to save presets (as opposed to inside Diva) and all my presets disappeared since I've upgraded to 1.3. Can anybody help me with this? I noticed Diva now appears in a different folder in my VST library, could that be the difference?

actually if I install the vst 2 version of Diva I get back my presets. Now I just need to figure out how to get them to show up for the vst 3 version. Forgot that the older diva version was a 2.0 vst plugin not a 3.0

Where are your presets located?
The Diva installer wouldn't erase them, but as you say, maybe they need to be put into a different folder.
(I don't think we changed much about paths though…)
Oh… maybe you used to use VST2 and now you also installed VST3? How about taking VST3 version out for a test?

Ah, crosspost - glad they're backzion7 wrote:actually if I install the vst 2 version of Diva I get back my presets. Now I just need to figure out how to get them to show up for the vst 3 version. Forgot that the older diva version was a 2.0 vst plugin not a 3.0
Please, stick to VST2 for now. We've planned to rewrite our VST3 layer. Until then we think that our VST2s are more stable. There's a topic about that in this forum.

I had this problem and found right clicking where you can see your presets and selecting "open folder" really helped me sort everything out, because you can then copy and paste from the old to the new location.
One problem I'm having is I can't see the VST 2 version update anywhere. VST 2 version is stuck at 1.1, but that might be because I installed it in a different place to most other plugins. I'll try deleting the old VST 2 version and re-installing.
The VST 3 version has seemed pretty rock solid so far, even when it was beta. I have a project finished using a few instances of it and it's loaded and saved hundreds of times without incident.

sorry if I didn't clarify properly but I am saving patches inside Cubase's media bay, so its handled by Cubase not Diva. If Cubase doesn't recognize the new version as being the same synth, it will not pull up the appropriate patches in Media Bay. So my question was more related to why Diva installs in a diff format, but I answered it by realizing I had installed the VST3 instance.
Urs: thanks though, I will happily use the 2.0 version for now and worry about how to migrate patches to the 3.0 version in the future. Plus this is also maybe more of a Cubase question than a Diva question. Thanks for the fast support though!
PS: congrats on the product, been a huge proponent of it for years and have gotten all my fellow producers to jump on the ship.
best vst out there hands down

How did you save all your Diva presets into media bay presets?
...and does the process apply to Zebra as well?
I'm looking into the option of having all my third party synth presets stored as Media Bay items and it seems all manufacturers have their own library format and there is no unified way of making vst2 presets vst3 presets except manually, one by one.
