Bandstop filter troubles

I think my digital bandstop filters are functioning a bit oddly. The 24 db one has a rather unpleasant metallic pop at the beginning of each note, after which it behaves as I'd expect. The 12 db one has a quieter pop, and also makes the sound very quiet. These happen regardless of cutoff/res settings, and it doesn't really seem to matter what type of material I run through the filter. Also the analog bandstop filter works fine. Any suggestions? I'm on 32 bit windows XP sp3, and I experienced this with the latest version of Synthmaster hosted in the latest version of Renoise and the latest version of FL Studio.

I am going to look into this LP/BP pop issue. I think last year I changed somethings and after that this started happening. Let me figure out what has caused this.

Cool, thank you! The behavior of the 12 db bandstop filter is especially strange. Not only does it pop, but it dramatically decreases the volume of the sound going through it. However, I can sometimes get it to operate at normal volume (still has the annoying pop) by alternating between the 24 db and 12 db options while sustaining a note.
