Diva feature request.

Hi. Would it be possible in a future version of Diva, for it to have an input? Then I could use the filters on other sounds, which would be awesome. Also it'd add the ability to have sidechain as a modulation source.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I remember that question was already asked somewhere in this forum, and I think the answer was something like:
Maybe/probably in the future.
I'd +1 that request.
The filters of DIVA are really what sets this synth apart. And it would be great to be able to use them on audio-streams.

Yep, it was supposed to go into 1.3 alongside a sequencer, but both features were too much to handle.
Our main issue is still that VST2 does not officially support audio input for instruments. We had hoped that VST3 would have taken over by now, making audio input a non-issue (we're meanwhile relieved it didn't). Nevertheless, we'll figure it out - just can't say when

Thx for the info. Glad to hear, it's still planned.
Regarding that input-issue:
Couldn't you just compile an "FX version" of DIVA?
(If adding an input in a VSTi is somehow troublesome.)

Sure, but it's a bit meh to do that. Technically nothing speaks against audio input on VSTi. Thanksfully the main host that doesn't support it supports VST3.Nokenoku wrote:Thx for the info. Glad to hear, it's still planned.

Thanks for the reply Urs, that's great news.
