Just a test for getting a grip on this whole Youtube thing, I thought I'd show the harmonics wavetables I was talking about. For some reason there's a border around the video which wasn't there on my end, but it's a start. I suppose

wow, awesome! All the cool "esoteric" stuff nobody else posts!
Thought about doing some stuff like this myself but the video-recodring-converting-editing software pile was just too much for me to handle atm so I chickened out!
Of course we expect more, you do realize that!?

Sendy,
I learned some stuff by watching the video, so thank you for that. Since your first name is Alexandra, I assume you are a female. It is funny, but on these music type forums, it seems it is typically at least 90% males, so I always assume someone is a male unless I hear (& remember) otherwise. Do you think it is unusual for females to be interested in the technical aspect of making music/synth sounds (I'm not trying to discourage you, that is for sure; hope you don't find that question offensive, I just feel chatty)? On a totally different (off) topic, about 2 1/2 years ago, on ultimate-guitar.com, someone with the screen name of Tame Impala gave me some compliments on a tune of mine (after I reviewed his partially complete song that was posted on Tame Impala's official website). At that time, I had never heard of the group. Within the last month or 2, I started hearing their song "Elephant" on 2 different radio stations, and less than 2 weeks ago learned they are Grammy nominated for 'Best Alternative Album'.....so I am tripping out on that. The Grammy's will be on in about 1 1/2 hours, so I'll be looking out for Tame Impala. OK, enough about that (sorry, I'm a bit of a name-dropper sometimes).

Honestly, I think it's natural for a group that's predominantly male to assume someone within it is male. How a situation like that came about in the first place, however, I believe is distinctly UN-natural, and the result of societal manufacture. Women and girls are subject to the "pink ghetto" where their very essense must be that of sex and they are judged accordingly. Better say pink's your favourite colour because that's what girls like and you do want to be a real girl, right?!
I know a few people who have undergone gender transitions from male to female and 99.9999% of this is always about how you look, and learning to respond appropriately to being judged (positively or negatively) on how you look, and spending vast amounts of time and money on how you look. People have tried to pin this vanity on those undergoing the transition but it's actually the system above them imposing this on them, judging them as beautiful or "freaks" - as it does women of all genders.
I consider myself an androgynous person, partly because of cold hard facts, and partly because of ideology, because the gender divide is not something I want to be a part of. It's something akin to a war, as far as I can tell, albeit a war where occasionally troops from each side pair off into a truce, and obviously there are pockets of peace in those areas where reasonable people prevail. Sexuality has been commodified by our corporate environment and hence being female is about knowing how sexy you are, and hence how much street value you posess. The fact that people born intersexed are often "remixed" without consent to make them align with "normality" should outline my personal beef with "normality" and the conformist mediocrity which is it's primary weapon (with which it tries to neuter us all - by gendering us, or perhaps "over-gendering" us).
I've had a few semi-famous people get in touch with me as well. If I were to be forced to namedrop I'd have to go with Wisp. In fact, I get a lot of people telling me I should be making money at music, but then I pretty much have to beg just to get people to listen to my music, let alone leave a comment, so it can be quite confusing trying to ascertain just how "relevant" or "realistic" the idea of making waves in the music world is - but it's a dream so I plug on regardless

Yeah, that's IL Wave Candy.
And yes, the waveforms are beautiful to watch. There's something compellingly primal about the harmonic series, experiencing it as 1D* geometry AND sound together never gets old
(well, 1D plus time, which isn't really 2D, because if it was 2D waveforms could move back and fourth in time, which they can't, so maybe 1.5D?)

I misread title; expected a plugin called Babya Zebrya.
An idiot on Set Theory:

It was when my daughter was about 2 1/2 that I noticed that every single comment from family members or friends was always about how she looked. There was a little boy next door who used to come over and comments towards him were always about what he was doing. I was shocked to see not just a discrepancy, but a near total one.Sendy wrote:Honestly, I think it's natural for a group that's predominantly male to assume someone within it is male. From that day forward I only commented on what she was doing, not how she looked...

Just chiming in briefly - while our orders are an automated process, I always have a quick glance over the actual sales. I think until about 3 years ago we had maybe 10 female customers in total. Recently I think we get about one sale a day to a female customer.

Sendy,
Glad you did not appear to be offended & hope you found the topic interesting. I hope to learn more from you in the future. I majored in engineering over 30 years ago, and about half of my engineering classes were 100% male. I never had more than 2 females in an engineering class. Not sure if that has changed much during that time. OK, back to synths!
