I'm very fund of MTotal bundle. Lots of very god and versatile plugins.
I've been thinking about investing in MDrummer, but I mostly use Live drums.
MDrummer would be a PERFECT companion to MTotal Bundle, if it could be used as a drumtrigger from accoustic drums, like "Drumagog". I'm thinking a combination of "Drumatom" and "Dsp Trigger". It should be easy making such an extension for MDrummer, considering all the already very competent algorithms implemented i MTotal Bundle.
Kind Regards,
Nicolai Bob

Thank you Nicolai. Here's the thing - I actually never heard someone is using drum triggering from acoustic drums realtime. The latency itself is a slight problem, but the detection algorithms and overall spill make it really hard. Or do you have good experiences?
And for studio work the realtime drum replacement becomes obsolete - almost all good hosts now provide audio -> MIDI conversion. Since such process is offline, it is much much more accurate than realtime version and doesn't have any latency.

Hi Vojtech,
I didn't necesserily mean realtime convertion. I mean i work with live recorded drums. Anyway, latency or any other challenges like offline rendering etc., i still think it would be a valuable feature in MDrummer, making it more versatile and improving a workflow, recording live drums, followed by in the mixing process, layering upon sampled drums.
Kind Regards,
Nicolai Bob

Well, Nicolai, I really suggest checking your host's audio->MIDI conversion. The realtime conversion (which must be done if used in a plugin!!) will never provide as good results not mentioning that you cannot edit the results, so if you use it and there are problems, there's no way to get rid of it without rendering and editing as audio... nasty stuff really.
I have seen tutorials on audio->MIDI everywhere these days, so I really think that's the future and there's no need to spend precious development time on something this obsolete.
