It's highly likely cats may start to appear in this thread - or the resurrection of groundhogs. Problem is, there are way more entertaining cat photos than groundhog photos. The cat 'doghouse' with the DAW logo on it in one of the other major DAW speculation thread made me snort out loud.

I hope this hasn't happened - but to throw huge speculation out there: What if Behringer decided to buy TSC and something big went down to that effect at NAMM? They've already been bundling it with interfaces. Or Mackie got religion and decided their big play to be Avid's hardware of choice company that seems like what distracted them from T3 further development was after all a bad move - maybe something like that is going down which would require radio silence.

The only risk with these ”funny” speculations is that one rushed forumist comes in here, does not take time to read more than two pages and takes this as a reality - then we have questions and debats over... nothing.

Not that it would be for the first time!

BTW, I believe it's simply a matter of not having all finished and polished by the deadline. That does happens quite often when more than two people are involved in a project...

Well... apparently during an absinthe-fuelled argument in the hotel bar, the TSC inadvertently sold exclusive rights to Tracktion to Google for $1.00.
The next version is now expected early 2017, and will be a tabbed browser extension within Google Chrome... well, that's what I heard anyway

Yeah... I've heard the same.
But it's more to it: it seems Jules did not agree with this and word is he'll try to renew the alliance with Mackie for making another DAW... Detailed expected. Before next NAMM.

It was tequila, not absinthe. It was a strip club, not a bar. And we didn't sell it for $1.00 - in fact Woody lost it in a game of blackjack, along with his trousers. That Sergey Brin is a mean card-player.

I have to admit I was really hoping to give it a go this weekend. I am guessing that they were pressing very hard to get T5 ready for NAMM and that they got close, but that it was not quite ready. Afterwards, with the pressure off and no hard deadline to meet, that they are taking their time to do things right on both the business and programming sides.

I understand it, but of course I still have my fingers crossed that it will be sooner rather than later.
