How to separate 64 bit plugs from 32 bit?

Is there some way to tell one from another without scanning with T's built-in search?
Opening a .dll's properties doesn't have that info.
I'd like to have separate folders for each type.

Improving the plugin scan and making it easier to deal with 32/64 bit plugins is top of our to-do list, so watch out for new stuff there.

TY Jules for all your efforts and dedication to this fine DAW.
I'll look forward to that.
In the meantime, I have time enough to do it manually, given some clue of how to determine gender.

Great to hear that there is some new stuff planned here. Will it also be possible in the future to use 32bit plugins in the x64 version with some kind of plugin bridging?

If you really want to do it manually, you can either open them in Microsoft's Dependency Walker to check for the CPU architecture (32bit Depends.exe works for both 32bit and 64bit in this case).
Or you view the DLLs in hex mode and check the bytes immediately following the PE header, where "50 45 00 00 4C 01" indicates 32bit and "50 45 00 00 64 86" indicates 64bit.

when i scan it here on a macbook with mountain lion, it gets crazy with some weird resourcefiles of some effects. it takes like 10 minutes to scan some new plugs, cpu goes up to 100% on both cores and stays there, cpu temperature goes up to 103 grade celsius and the fan is not starting
i was fearing to destroy my macbook. for now i will do it by dragging new effects into tracktion by hand. hoping for an improvement here.
by the way, i love tracktion 5 !
overall appearance, the new features, very cool all that.
best,
mathias
