I think the world went to hell when people had to stop getting camera film developed and got actual physical pictures back from a drugstore....

Vinyl is so overrated . Much better sound with DSD or DXD .

Yeah but a lot of stuff that is available as vinyl is not available in those formats (some not even in CD format)

We should never have gone from analog clocks to digital ones. In fact, putting batteries in clocks was a bad idea. They keep time with so much more warmth when you wind their springs by hand.

There's an actual improvement from analog tv to digital HD tv. But it's not the case with vinyl vs mp3. Of course, if you listen to flac files or any uncompressed high bitrate audio files, it will be better than vinyl...

If we're talking underwears, vinyl as something cotton doesn't have, no?

But I won't give up my HDTV or my microwave. Seriously, microwave broke for a week last year and I was -how the hell did people stand this.

do you think that maybe all the "warmth" of vinyl comes from the pre-amp. I know when I looked for a turntable to transfer vinyl to disc, the one thing stressed was: be sure and get one with a built in pre-amp. I don't know how turntables work, but is this common with turntables? I got a cheapy radio shack one that worked fine and had one.

I know right? Whenever someone puts a CD on I don't know whether I should be listening to it or climbing it.
