bypass button in rack mode

My biggest wish right now for my Quattro and the new rack mode is a CC controllable, preset saveable, midi/input/output bypass button for each rack channel, similar to mixer mode. The solo and mute buttons don't do what I need, which is to have more flexibility within a given preset to bring sounds in or out without changing presets.
Is this something that would be difficult to implement?

I agree, Between this and finding that the SWAM instruments don't like the bypass switch in mixer mode, the rack format is not workable for me at all. If it worked with these it would make life a bit easier but I can get by with a workaround by using other hardware to replace the things i was doing before in Kontakt Player.

Well, we really didn't think this was necessary because Live Mode automatically bypasses plugins when they aren't currently active. I take it you are using multiple instruments in the rack and wanting to bypass ones that you are not currently using?

And to be perfectly honest, muting would do what you are asking for, and with so much power under the hood, I'd be really surprised if you were actually running out of CPU on the QU4TTRO...

Please share exactly how you are setting things up... maybe I'm missing something?

Bryan,
Thanks for the reply. The place I am getting stuck in transitioning to Live Mode is this scenario; In snapshot mode I fill up all of the channels, but each preset generally uses 3-4 channels with the rest bypassed. My general preset consists of a melodic instrument (cello, flute...), a keyboard instrument (piano or electric piano), a percussion instrument that I play with a trigger pad, a synth or 2, and 2 effects sends. I have around 25 instruments loaded in the snapshot using kontakt multis and battery, and I use about 30 snapshot presets for the various combinations of instruments. As the music I play does not follow a set list-I do musical accompaniment that requires improvising using lots of layers and varied sounds, I end up constantly switching between presets in a non-sequential fashion.
I have been trying to recreate the snapshot in rack mode, loading up all the instruments and having the unused instances of kontakt set for different midi channels than I am using on my keyboard. This has not worked very well-I have not been able to switch between presets very seamlessly.
Am I correct in my understanding that Live Mode will attempt to load every preset fully, even if a different preset in the tag uses the same multis/individual channel presets (a cello sound used in one preset will load into ram twice if it is used in a different preset)? This scenario seems to end up with a lot of ram used and does not allow for effective non-sequential preset switching. This is where the bypass button would be helpful in making each preset more versatile-I will try experimenting more with the mute button. Is mute midi controllable?
I will also try experimenting with much smaller presets that only have 3-4 instruments. Here is where I get stuck- to get all 30 of the instrument combinations I use in snapshot mode would mean having some of the same instruments load up multiple times into ram to be able to access them immediately. This becomes a big issue when the instruments I am using are very large, like the Embertone Friedlander Violin and Blakus Cello, which is almost a gigabyte in the lo-ram preset. Any thoughts or strategies?
Thanks,
Nathan
