ok this is last trial to make it work on old CPUs
http://nusofting.liqihsynth.com/peti_be ... se_new.zip
it's very clean now, <grin>
thanks for testing,
grainger, yes I jumped from 98SE to XP too,
and I'd never come back, go for it

well done liqih
whatever you did that last one works like a dream, thank you so much. it sounds really amazing, im going to go and play with it all night
to recap, im running it on a 500mhz amd k6-2, 128mb ram, win98se, mia midi soundcard, through energyxt inside audiomulch and it uses about 30% cpu, i'll try it later in plogue and let you know.
cheers

thanks grainger!
happy it works,
BTW maybe better you keep polyphony about 8 voices or less (Maximum Poly fader) to save CPU on your 500

BTW a question for all, how many of you feel the need of the animated keyboard on GUI?

hey liqih! Just decided to give the latest peti another test run...good news! the non-sse version doesn't crash cubase Sx2 anymore! everything sounds great...did notice a few problems though, not sure if they are due to peti or my comp.....whenever i set the harmonics to a level louder than 7 and play a note, just when the sound is about to peak, i get a nasty distortion/clipping/static type sound ripping through my monitors. Also, if i adjust a parameter while holding a note, i can't hear the change until after i've let let go of the key and played it again....
Does sound authentic though! can't wait for the final release!
Peace!
