Really.
Judging from what I've been reading, there will be no end to new feature requests. I've added mine to the list before but it really boils down to one that I personally find most important - user definable colors.

Am I completely clueless? How could I be so selfish? What about all the glitches and missing features? Well, I'm fairly content to work around those issues. There ARE workarounds for nearly all of them through 3rd party apps and utilities and that's on my 6 year old mac powerbook. Meanwhile, as a visual artist, I'm absolutely depressed by the dismal grey blue palettes of most software applications and that includes Tracktion. You are what you eat. Likewise, color has a strong effect on my mood and creativity.

It's been said before that this will be a feature of version 2. It's also been said that it's more difficult than one might thing due to the way that Jules has written the GUI. Here's hoping that the update is soon OR that some talented member of the community takes on the task. I'm drowning here in a sea of grey.

I'm not really concerned about this one... HOWEVER,

That was some food for thought-- I have to admit, it might be interesting to see how changing the colour scheme between projects could affect the end result. Go dark gray, red, and black for some metal... or bright colours for ultra-happy pop...

I can see why you might want this feature.

Isn't being able to change colors important to people with color blindness?

Perhaps the current colors have been especially chosen to avoid this?

Just a thought.

Jules has mentioned going through the code looking for all the places where colours are coded so it's obviously something he's addressing.

I'm one of the few lucky ones that actually likes the color scheme :-o :D. It was a nice change compared to Cubase and others. But I'm ALL FOR being able to adjust it. Hopefully in T2.

Actually, it was the peaceful green that made my switch to Tracktion. :D

This would be great. I've said before I think that different schemes for different projects could enhance creativity -- match the mood of the scheme to the mood of the project.

I think Tracktin's colour scheme is wonderful - it's subtly functional, and it doesn't get in your way. I do spend an awful lot of time theming my Linux desktop to get it just right. I care about something being both aesthetically pleasing and functional. And 90% of the themes out there look good on screenshots and are a pain in practice. Sure, T's colours are not wildly exciting, but they let me focus on my music. The visual clues make sense, and it's consistent. It's got it's own particular character, and I've grown to like it. I'm sure there are people here who could make great - better, even - schemes. But I think you'd be hard pressed to call the current look dysfunctional, and so there are a lot of things I'd like to see implemented before this.

I also like Tracktion's general look. In fact, I'm more than pleased with the lines, contours and layout. I just need a break from the grey-heavy color scheme.

I realize that a brighter pallette of colors might fatigue some users. I'm not one of them. What is fatiguing to one person might be inspiring to another. Hope we have the option soon.

Well, im happy with the colours, just need more of them! theyr all pastell, nice to have normal pure colours and colours with black tones together with the pastel/white contained now.

seriously, I actualy need it! If I chop up a large drum clip, into say 20 - 30 clips, colour them different, then already your starting to run out of colours.

I do this to make shure im not repeating the cuts (I also use numbers), and its fun to work that way!! if you add colours to the feel of the clip, its fun to paint the sound!

-im serious, by the way :)

This topic breaks out pretty often. I'm used to almost all of it now but I'd love to be able to change it. Jules said long ago that it would be harder because of the way the colors were originally coded (transparent) but that something would be done in T2.
