New MuLab and MUX Vst 5.4.3 packages are available in

http://www.mutools.com/mulab/test
http://www.mutools.com/mux/test

What's changed since M5.4.1:
  • OSX: Fixed a possible problem with VST editors turning white.
  • More subtle and less dense time bar.
  • When deleting a module that is a track's target module, the track header was not immediately redrawn. Fixed.
  • New preference: DefaultAutoScroll defines the default value for the auto scroll feature of the editors.
  • Sometimes small tooltips were displayed incorrectly vertically. Fixed.
  • VST plug-ins "Edit In Generic Editor" function not shown in context menu when the VST plug-in has no parameters.
  • MUX Vst: Fixed a possible UI lag problem when using multiple MUX Vst plug-ins.
  • MUX Vst: Added a workaround for a possible crash problem in Steinberg hosts eg Cubase.
  • MUX Vst: Added a workaround for a resize problem in Steinberg hosts eg Cubase.
  • MUX Vst: In some hosts, in certain situations where note-ons and note-offs are sent on the same time, there were hanging notes. Fixed.
How to install:
MuLab: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... ation.html
MUX Vst: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/installation.html

Thanks to a couple of workarounds, this new MUX Vst 5.4.3 version should also be rock solid in Cubase, Wavelab and Nuendo!

Feedback very welcome.

Cheers!

Just tried it on OSX and NI Reaktor would load but GUI for the plugin was completely back. Works fine on 5.4.1.

i have tested MUX VST 5.4.3 with Cubase Elements 7.0.7 on a Windows 8 PC.

there is a new missing first recorded note playback problem if ASIO Guard is enabled :ud:
if ASIO Guard is disabled, MUX play all recorded notes during playback.

workaround for a resize problem is now fixed with this MUX version :tu:

Can't repeat that. I tried several VST plugins including Reaktor, Massive, ... Editors look OK. Any feedback from other OSX users?

FYI: Previously that would have been a hanging note. Now it's more correctly a missing note cause that's what cubase asks to be played. Try out some other VSTs eg Prologue or Dune with the exact same Asio Guard setup i.e. global Asio Guard enabled as well as the plugin's individual Asio Guard enabled (VST Plugin Information). They'll also suffer from missing notes. Solution: turn off Asio Guard.

You're right, with Prologue i have the same missing notes if ASIO guard is enabled and the playback track is out of focus.
In Cubase 7, this missing notes problem appears only if ASIO Guard is enabled and playback track is unselected ...

The only thing i see is that there is a little offset between the top part of the vst editor (the part with MuLab's controls) and the vst editor itself. Another issue is that sometimes when having worked in a vst editor, then the next click in the main MuLab window only activates that window but the click isn't processed. Both issues will be fixed asap. But i still don't see black windows when using Native Instruments Vsts or any other Vsts.

Thanks for confirmation Hermu!

There is an updated MuLab 5.4.4 for OSX in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/test

What's changed (MuLab for OSX only):
  • VST editors had a little offset between the top part and the actual VST editor. Fixed.
  • After having clicked on VST editors clicking in the main window only activated the window without actually processing that click. Fixed.
How to install: Quit MuLab OSX and overwrite the M5.4.3 app file with the new M5.4.4 app file. Done.

Looking forward to any further feedback.

Used Mulab again for the first time in a month, updated to the latest version. Is it just me or is the volume lower than with other DAW's?

Another thing, since I am an 80s person, I still like to use the Superwave drum modules. In Mulab they only work when the single outputs are disabled, Mixcraft automatically opens subtracks for the single outputs so that one can eq, fx, and pan them individually.

In case it is a new feature (have not dealt with Mulab a lot for a while), I like the option to increase the font size for menus :) I think the Panic option should be a button on the user interface, though, so that when my speakers are falling apart, I don't have to open menus first :hihi:

You can change the menu font size via the preferences

I know, which is why I said I like instead of I would like ;)
I just did not know if it was a new feature in 5.4.3 or if I had just missed it in previous versions...

Ah! My apologies. I misread
