I'm a new Receptor 2 user from Germany. Bought a used US unit end of November and really appreciate that the unit is running without real glitches (so far!).
Recently, I upgraded to v2.0.1 OS and got NI Komplete 9 Ultimate installed with the help of MUSE Support. Thanks Martin R.!!!
Prerequisite: I use the device in the new RACK MODE!
I still have some inconvenience issues though, but one of the most annoying I do not yet have a solution for is the following:
Once that Feature worked, but just recently my Receptor 2 gave up accepting CC Controller Information that is sent from Modulation Wheels of several different Keyboards. It seems as if they are ignored.
But: the Midi Monitor on the unit shows that the Hardware actually receives the se CC commands, just unfortunatels they do not reach the plugins. No matter whether it is the UVI Workstation plugin, a MOOG VST, KONTAKT5 or any other Instrument. You can see this on the soft Keyboard underneath the plugins. For PITCH-Bend movements, the wheel is moving, too, but it doesn't for MOD-Wheel movements on any of my Hardware Keyboards (Doepfer LMK3 and Novation Impulse 61).
As I said, it worked once, and I was even happy to have the ability in the MIDI Setup section of each Rack-Plugin, to mask some Basic Controllers, such as the MOD Wheel or Pitch Bend for each individual Plug-In inserted in the RACK (mode). But now, all of a sudden, just Pitch Bend works, but MOD doesn't. All checkboxes in the related CC masking box (top right in the MIDI menus of each Rack plugin).
Further, under RACK MODE's SETUP button I looked in the Midi Mixer Control Setup for possibilities to adjust mapping for MOD Controllers as is be possible for the VOLUME CC Settings, but unfortunately that page does not show any MOD or PITCH-BEND parameters, nor any possibility to map CC Controllers to MOD or PITCH-BEND, e.g. by which a footswitch or external expression pedal could be programmed/mapped in Receptor to control the MOD or Pitch Bend function.
Is there anyone out there having had that Problem and having a solution for this?
I pinged MUSE Support under my yet open Support Ticket (which I once opened for the NI K9 U Install Problem), but I haven't heard back from them for a couple of weeks now ...
. Maybe I can get help through this channel, now.I'll address the remaining K9U Problem with missing instrument icons in a separate thread.
