Here is part 1 of a tut about granular synthesis, as I am currently writing an article about this topic for an online magazine, I thought it would be helpful to produce some supporting videos too. This first part mainly focusses on the parameter Grain Length and also some aspects of Grain Pitch.

With some peace of mind available today, I finally did a first basic tutorial for Steinberg's Padshop Pro, creating a patch from scratch using a simple psaltery pluck sample from my library Granular Guitars, the video is 20+ minutes long:
