Here is part 1 of a tut about granular synthesis, as I am currently writing an article about this topic for an online magazine, I thought it would be helpful to produce some supporting videos too. This first part mainly focusses on the parameter Grain Length and also some aspects of Grain Pitch.

Here comes part 2, this part focusses on the parameters Grain Position and Grain Speed/Direction. I got distracted towards the end by my wife calling me but didn't want to start again, so it got a bit chaotic

Here is a playlist with videos made with Melda's MultiBand Granular, these are not tutorials per se, but they show some of the possibilities this fine plugin is capable of.

With some peace of mind available today, I finally did a first basic tutorial for Steinberg's Padshop Pro, creating a patch from scratch using a simple psaltery pluck sample from my library Granular Guitars, the video is 20+ minutes long:
