Stylus is very old-fashion compared to something like Image-Line's slice-x which gives you clear visuals of the loop file and easy control over each slice. I'm hoping for a similar, if not better, feature of this in Stylus 2 :)
Stylus is old fashioned compared to phatmatik pro, which was out 10 years ago. At least as far as editing, since there is no visual feedback at all.

I'm pretty content with Omnisphere though. I am looking forward to the browser reorganization as I think it can be a little more sensible in terms of categories. And apart from that I just wish they would expose all the parameters and do away with this silly assignment you have to do first. Just expose them all!

I blame it on sp0bjogu for telling Eric:
Never, EVER tell a developer to take his time. :smack: :dog: :idiot:

I'd rather a developer take his time than take my time giving me months (years?) of rhetorical phoo fah and still not delivered.

Know what I mean? ;)

Happy Musiking!

Me too… but there's a possibility I'll have to put my copy of RMX in my will.

The good news is bitwig actually came out. Who knows when revalver 4 or this phantom spectrasonics will. I'm not a patient person :x

Perhaps Spectrasonics has been reduced to a one-man company, namely Eric, and he is creating Omnisphere 2, or whatever, all by his lonesome. I'm sure whatever he comes up with will resurrect Spectrasonics back to the top of the heap, but in the meanwhile the suspense is killing me.

Yeah the wait is getting a bit life-sapping. It's Stylus 2 / replacement that I'm really gunning for.... I'm not one of those desperate for Omnisphere sample import, it's pretty fantastic as it is. By contrast I have a hundred things on a Stylus replacement wishlist, and I haven't seen anything else out there from other devs that will come close to what I can imagine...

Just a little plug to The Unfinished who has a new Trilian soundset out today. I find Matt's stuff the best third party stuff out there, not only are the patches great but the tagging and organisation is best in class. It integrates most seamlessly with the factory stuff. The last year has seen an explosion in 3rd party Omnisphere content in particular, and it helps us diehards to make it through the Spectrasonics release desert. I do find the quality of some of the developers a little variable - not so with The Unfinished.

Stylus RMX could benefit from visuals of drum loops. Auto slice and manually slice ability with visual of slices. Then for each slice have the ability to right click and edit it quickly (e.g. a simple reverse, stutter, ect). I find Stylus very cumbersome as it is and do not enjoy using it as much as Omnisphere/Trilian.
