Did anyone ever port Senderella to the Mac?

Which community plugs have been ported to the Mac so far? I checked Tracktion Faction but there isn't a distinction between platform versions available. Is anyone else collecting all these things into one place and making it clear which ones are compatible with OS X?

This is very interesting to know, for all OSX users.

don't think so.
None of the coders amongst out OSX userbase have jumped up to plate yet, so PC users are getting most of teh toys right now.

D'oh! You're absolutely correct of course.Sleepwalker wrote:Didnt a Liall, or something start to port a few things, some months back?valley wrote:don't think so.

It was NiallM (or the NiallM that isn't NiallM) IIRC. He was porting some of Mods stuff, but I don't know what happened to that. Unfortunately the Tracktion fourm only has pages 1 of 0 avialable right now so I can;t search for this.
Maybe when Ben fixes the forums, someone can dig up the nick and see where he got to.

Thanks for the information.
I'm happy for the pc users but wish that someone with the ability and time could get this together.
I had been hoping that Jules' pace of development would make things like senderella a "stepping stone". I really think that was the intention behind the plug's creation. Unfortunately, racks haven't quite worked like I hoped. Other mini apps, like the sampler editor just posted, would also be just as welcome on the mac.
Ultimately, I think Jules WILL integrate these mini-app/plug features into Tracktion but we're all left guessing when that is. I continue to use several 3rd party plugs to get things done. Right now, I'm most interested in Rax for hosting AU plug-ins and wiring it to T. It's promising but very cpu intensive depending on the plugs. Another need is for better sampler mapping (assign these 30 drum samples over the keyboard with one click etc) and a drum specific midi editor. I suspect it's all coming in V 2 and I'll be glad to dump the 3rd party stuff then.

Hi, just noticed this thread
.
I did port ModulR's building block plugins to OSX, but I never got round to putting a link to them on my site. I think they're probably at http://www.niallmoody.com/ndcplugs/down ... Mac_BB.zip, but my site seems to be down at the moment (dunno what's going on
), so I can't be sure...
To be honest, I'm a Windows programmer really (I compile the mac ports of my plugins on my flatmate's iMac), and Senderella sounds like it probably has some OS-specific stuff in it (communication between plugins). I think it would probably require a lot more knowledge about OSX than I possess to port it (although it might be possible using wxWidgets - I've just recently got a plugin running using wxWidgets instead of VSTGUI, which is very cool imo).

Nial I will pay money if you can make me a Tracktion plugin that can filter all midi notes with a velocity level of 16 and keep everything above 17-127! I will pray for you at night as well! PLEASE! The ones you made are so close and it seems like you got enough know how to do this. THanks.

Not to strip Nial of his cash, but this is very easy to make with max/msp from cycling '74. There's a fully functional demo with tutorials. the only thing I'm not sure about is how to get it working as a plug-in. I've never tried that, but it should be possible with the free pluggo player.Aleatoric wrote:Nial I will pay money if you can make me a Tracktion plugin that can filter all midi notes with a velocity level of 16 and keep everything above 17-127! I never ported CC rider, but it doesn't sound like it would be particularly hard - I could add it to my list of things to do if you want. Does anyone have the link to the original though
- I just did a search but couldn't find it.
Aleatoric's plugin idea is going to be in the next version of ndcMIDI (and it's still freeware
).
