I recently downloaded the demo-version of Zebra2 to test it. So i fumbled a few tracks heavily using Zebra as main synth (6-10 instances per track).

I have no performance issues whatsoever. This Synth is absolutely awesome and i am more than eager to buy it now.

However i have some issues with it, and already checked the search function without success. So i am posting it here, and i also added to a similar thread on Maschine Forums over at NI.

1. when I close project and try to reopen it, Maschine hangs while trying to load the project

2. after running Zebra2 in Maschine for some time (may be 20-30 minutes) suddenly all sounds get messed up (and i literally mean all) .. even when i switch to other patches everything sounds like just a very short enveloped sound.. a click rather (but with different soundcharacteristics depending on sound) .. Its
a hard to repeat bug ... My best guess (and really is just that) is XY controllers and Maschine are somehow getting in conflict randomly ...

3. sometimes (in like 1 out of 40 cases) when i open a Zebra PlugIn in Maschine it also freezes and Maschine with it.. completely hung up ..

I guess 1 and 3 are somehow related to eachother.

Ok here my questions. Is this an issue only with demo-version? Is there a hotfix or something?

I really love that thing and would hate to miss out on it. But i am also careful before investing 200 bucks..

Edit: forgot to mention: PC Windows 7, 64 bit version of the synth

Zebra goes out of tune after a while in the demo mode. Not sure about your other issues.

Update:

Meanwhile i bought Zebra2. I couldn't resist.

The demo restricitions are gone now.

I still have the issue that Maschine crashes while opening a project, which only contains zebra-sounds and some Maschine samples.

After 10 attempts it might open. Still this is an issue i would like have fixed.

Any Ideas?

NI contacted us about a similar issue with Diva. It may be the same thing. We'll start working on that from tomorrow.

May be it is of help to know that it can also happen while adding Zebrify to a project not containing Zebra.

Hmmm, I'm sure I typed a lengthy answer today but it seems gone, or I forgot to submit it :-/

A fix/workaround will be available in a few days. More soon.

Ok, NI have a fix for the issue too, available with next update I guess!

So it's going to be double fixed

We posted it in our Latest Builds section a few days ago:

I believe those builds have reached a more stable state than our "official" releases by now. I think that it'll take another two or three of those builds, then we'll make them the official ones.
