Midi note filtering

What I'm trying to do is set up keyboard splits in a rack - so the top of the keyboard goes to one instrument, and the bottom to another. So I need a plugin that will sit before each instrument and filter out the notes (and maybe velocities) that aren't supposed to go to that instrument.
Does anyone know of a good Midi Filter plugin utility (preferably free)?
edit - for Windows/PC.

Cheers Gary, that's great.
I've also just found that a rack with the midi in and out connected can be used to share one midi device across a load of tracks!
Damn, Tracktion is good!

I need to filter out all midi notes with a velocity of 16 and below and keep the remaining 17-127 velocity range. I am on mac OSX sounds like Splittastic can do this, would LOVE to see an OSX port!

Don't tell me - you've got an EZ-AG too? Yes, the low velocity notes are a pain, although they're making learning scales easier!
And yes, splittastic does do that.
